Autumn flowers this morning - all the Chakra colours

Was not aware of taking pics of all chakra colours - even have Soul Star -  but when editing noticed there was one of each - amazing - looks like spring!! All same morning in my Living garden

Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom - let your email find you!

Unusual tree trunks

Commiphera harveyi - Red stem Corkwood, these fine sheets are used
in traditional medicine to heal septic wounds.

Eretia rigida Puzzle Bush/ Deurmekaarbos - Stems
are used to make fishing baskets

Ficus natalensis - Natal Fig

Not sure who lives there - must be some happy soul

Erythrina humeana - dwarf coral tree. Nothing remains undersized
in my garden - this one must be about 4m tall

The lovely part about Erythrina humeana is that it flowers in the
summer unlike the larger species flowering in winter.
So if you have both you have beautiful sun burnt flowers through out a large portion of the year.

Flowering stages of  Barleria albostellata

Hawk moth and Plectranthus heteroensis

13 cm long and 1.5cm thick
Probably larva of one of the hawk moths, demolished a whole bush of Plectranthus hereroensis!
And then I lost him, hopefully to see him flying around soon

Unidentified

Spotted these this morning. Can't identify!
First pic could possibly be weevils - second pic are the babies! Any ideas?

Mulching

The joy of mulching - rows of little mushrooms
